ABSOLUTELY! In fact we expect that most people who are interested in working for us have zero experience. Our training program is such that we can train anyone to become a successful real estate agent, no matter what level of experience.
If you are not licensed, Sagely & Edwards Realtors provides prospective new agents with fully paid tuition or in some cases tuition reimbursement to the Real Estate School/Course of their choice. To determine which school is best for you, search the Arkansas Real Estate Commission’s website. Please speak with the principal broker prior to scheduling a reimbursed class.

At Sagely & Edwards Realtors we pride ourselves in building career agents who thrive in a fast paced and fun working environment. However this can only happen if our agents are fully trained and prepared with the proper expectations needed to succeed in this real estate market.
As a new Sagely & Edwards Realtors agent you will initially go through a 1 week training program that will teach you all the basics/fundamentals needed to get started and give you the ability to have immediate success.
We have a management team of experienced brokers and agents that are ready to assist 24/7. As many agents can attest, no two transactions are ever alike so continuous support and training are an ongoing process in our office.

So, with strong work ethics, intense drive and great connections the upside potential is endless. If jumping in cold turkey gives you some hesitation, there are some agents who have stepped their way into the business by maintaining a part time job until they have been able to hit the road running. Regardless of your path, we are here to help you achieve your maximum potential! Give us a call today!
If you're not a licensed agent you must attend a 60 hour real estate education course which can be done in as little as 2 weeks. Once you've finished the course you then must take the State License Exam and pass. Usually the results will take anywhere from 3 business days to 2 weeks. Usually no longer than 1 week.
Once you receive your results and meet all requirements needed for proper licensing you can expect to start working immediately.
The Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC) requires that all applicants interested in becoming Licensed Real Estate Salesperson be at least 18 years of age or older.
Please note that the AREC can and will change it's requirements over time. For this reason and to avoid any potential misleading info we recommend that you refer to the F.A.Q. section of the Real Estate Broker/Salesperson Page of the AREC website.
There is a small investment to keep a real estate license each year. At Sagely & Edwards Realtors we pay for all company advertising which includes signage, support staff and much more.
Here are the annual fees for holding a real estate license in 2013.
Local, State & National NAR Dues: $418.00
Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Dues: $384.00 (billed semiannually, $192.00 on April 1st & Oct. 1st)
MLS Lockbox Key Card: $251.50 (billed annually on May 1st)
Arkansas Real Estate License: $50.00
The NAR dues and the MLS dues are pro-rated depending upon the time of the year that you activate your license. To learn more about the National Association of Realtors (NAR) go to www.realtor.org.
If you fail the State Licensing exam you should not feel discouraged. Real Estate law and terminology is probably a new language to most. You should not give up.
